Charitable Giving

There is no time like the present to make a difference in a child’s life by exposing them to the opportunities and positive experiences camp offers.

As a donor, you have a number of options for helping the American Camp Association continue their endeavors to enrich the lives of children through the camp experience:

Monetary Gifts
An outright gift of money will provide an immediate resource for the ACA to continue its mission. Monetary gifts may be made in any amount at any time, and 79 cents of every dollar given goes directly to sending a child in need to camp.

Securities (Stocks and Bonds)*
Gifting stocks and/or bonds to the ACA may actually cost you less than the same amount in a monetary gift. If the securities have appreciated and have been held by you for at least twelve months, they may be deductible in an amount up to 30 percent of your adjusted gross income. Amounts in excess of 30 percent may be deducted on tax returns for up to five additional years. The ACA can only accept marketable securities.
* For highly appreciated securities, please review Gift Annuity.

Charitable Lead Trust
This gifting technique allows you to assign an income interest to the ACA for a period of years or for your lifetime, after which the remainder passes to your heirs.
